This fabulous tavern is no longer located in the prime material plane. It is sometimes called the Wayfinder’s Respite but more often named The Wayfinder Tavern. It is an inn and pub of legend that drifts throughout the astral sea.  Adventurers from around the world, come and go often through this place, carrying a small silver badge of the Wayfinder’s symbol.

    • For members of the Ouroboros, they are given the badge once their application has been approved by the guild. This is a built-in benefit of the Ouroboros guild badge.

The inn has only one door leading outside, and it does not lead to the astral sea. It can sometimes be entered randomly when coming into any other inn or tavern through the main door. The only way to be sure that you’ll enter this tavern is by holding the Wayfinder badge while opening an inn or tavern door stating the phrase “Open the Way!” or requesting Reginald to open the door.

    • The frosted windows to The Wayfinder do not open, nor does the main door lead to the astral sea if no destination has been set.
    • Many adventurers use their badge to store a mount when adventuring, to avoid the creature from being hurt or attacked upon travelling.
      • To summon/de-summon, the mount takes 1 minute to chant a special incantation (the player decides this.) The badge may only accommodate a single mount.
      • A mount is defined as a creature that is one size larger than the character who owns the badge.

Once inside, the tavern is large, comfortable, and decadent. It’s frequently busy, despite its exclusivity, but always seems to have enough room and beds available for the wayward band of adventurers.

    • Resting inside the tavern is expensive and suited for aristocratic lifestyle, with 5 gp per night rate.
    • This inn is a hot spot for bartering, trading treasure, information and favors.

In TRP, you cannot use the Wayfinder to go anywhere other than the Ouroboros guild or your home location, unless you came from a foreign destination in which the door stays open for a minute. Home location must be set in TRP for recording purposes.

    • You can also only use the Wayfinder badge to travel to the Wayfinder from a different tavern once every 24 hours. As an alternative method for transportation: gate, teleportation circle, planeshift, downtime travel, etc. may be used.
    • The Wayfinder may only lead to the Ouroboros guild and the home location setting. The Wailing Wave is within minutes’ walk from the guild.
